1. Q13 Tinu agrees to pay Minu 500 rupees if Team A defeats Team B in a cricket match. However, if Team B were to win, Minu shall pay 500 rupees to Tinu. Team A wins but Tinu refuses to pay the money. (i) What is the remedy available to Minu? (ii) If both had handed over the money to Seema, to hand over the same to the winner, is there any remedy if Seema refuses to give the money?

The bank agrees to recruit him provided Ali does not quit for two years and that if Ali were to quit before two years, he would have to pay to the bank a sum of rupees two lakhs. (i) Is that bank's condition tenable in law? (ii) If the bank were to apply a pre-condition to employing Ali that Ali could not join any bank in India for a period of 10 years after quitting ABC Bank, would the pre-condition be valid?
