Q15 A person accused of inflicting grievous injury on a complainant states that he did it in "self-defence". (i) On whom does the burden to prove the right to exercise self-defence lie? (ii) Whether the self-defence was proportionate to the threat?

Q16 "A" makes a confession to a police officer. The murder weapon is recovered by the police. "A" is charged with Murder. (i) Whether a conviction on the basis of the confession only is justified? (ii) Does the murder weapon have any relevance?
