Evidence on record proved that she was subjected to cruelty and harassment for constant demand of a new flat before she came to her paternal home. (i) Mrs. 'A' died at her paternal home: can this be a point of defence to her husband, Mr. 'B'? (ii) What is the nature of the offence committed here?

Q19 Answer the following problems with reasons: (i) Parvati, a pregnant woman working in a factory for the past one year, loses her child due to an accident at home. What is the Maternity Benefit that Parvati is entitled to under the Maternity Benefit Act, 1961? (ii) Deepa had made three complaints to the police that her husband and mother-in-law were demanding money from her father. Deepa died due to severe burns within a year of her marriage. State the offence committed and what kind of action can be taken against Deepa's mother-in-law.
