SECTION III - Q.3: Solve any two, with reasons (any 2 of 4) 12 Marks

1. Q13 Rohan is accused of murdering his business partner Arjun. During police custody, Rohan allegedly confessed to the crime. Later, at trial, he claims that the confession was obtained under coercion. Additionally, his friend Sameer testifies that Rohan had privately admitted to him that he committed the crime.
   • (i) Whether the confession made by Rohan in police custody is admissible? Give reasons.
   • (ii) Whether the statement made by Rohan to Sameer can be proved as an admission? Explain.
2. Q14 A client, Arjun, confesses to his lawyer about committing fraud. Later, during trial, the lawyer is called as a witness and asked to disclose the communication made by Arjun.
   • (i) Can the lawyer disclose the confidential communication made by the client? Explain.
   • (ii) Are there any exceptions where such communication can be disclosed? Give reasons.
3. Q15 Suresh, the landlord, allowed Ramesh to occupy his house as a tenant. Later, Ramesh denies Suresh's title and claims that the house actually belongs to him.
   • (i) Whether Ramesh can deny the title of Suresh? Give reasons.
   • (ii) Explain the principle of estoppel applicable in this situation.
4. Q16 Aman is charged with defamation for posting offensive content about Neha on a social media platform. The prosecution submits screenshots of the post along with a certificate under Section 63. Aman argues that the screenshots are tampered and not reliable.
   • (i) Whether the screenshots are admissible as electronic evidence? Give reasons.
