1. Q17 Gray, a Jurist has said in his book 'Nature and Sources of Law' that right is not interest, but the means the interest is secured. (i) Who has defined right as an Interest and state the definition. (ii) Explain why you agree or disagree with Gray.
2. Q18 The only natural person is human being. Animals are not persons either natural or legal. Animals are regarded as things. (i) Can animals possess legal rights and duties? (ii) Why are Anti-poaching laws made and Societies for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals formed?
3. Q19 Arjun took his wooden cupboard for repairs to a carpenter Shyam. Shyam discovered some money in the secret drawer of the cupboard and appropriated the money for his own use. Arjun was not aware of the money, yet Shyam was punished for larceny. (i) Explain why is the possession of money not considered to have been transferred to Shyam along with the cupboard? (ii) Distinguish possession from ownership.
