2. Q14 Answer the following questions with respect to the legislative extract given below: THE MEDICAL TERMINATION OF PREGNANCY ACT, 1971. (ACT NO. 34 of 1971) [10th August, 1971] An Act to provide for the termination of certain pregnancies by registered medical practitioners and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto. BE it enacted by the Parliament in the Twenty-Second Year of the Republic of India as follows:-
   • 1. Short Title, Extent and Commencement. -
   • (1) This Act may be called The Medical Termination of Pregnancy Act, 1971.

To remain relevant, cinema is increasingly exploring innovative avenues to capture and retain viewer interest, including the simultaneous release of films on digital platforms and substantial investments in high-quality, immersive digital content that can match or surpass the streaming experience. Answer the following questions based on the extract given above:

4. Q16 Amar and Ziva are suspects in relation to a robbery that occurred nearby. The police, during interrogation, believing they have enough evidence, ask Amar and Ziva to confess, stating that it will make things easier if they just admit to the crime. Amar chooses not to answer and remains silent. In light of the maxim "Nemo tenetur seipsum accusare:" i. Can Amar be compelled to confess or provide information that could be used against him? ii. Ziva on her own accord decides to narrate the facts about the robbery in front of the magistrate. Can Amar prevent Ziva from making incriminating statements about him, on the basis of the maxim?
