1. Q13 'X' a sitting member of the Lok Sabha is disqualified from the membership on account of accepting 'bribe' and casting his vote. (i) Discuss the validity of his disqualification in light of judgements of the Supreme Court. (ii) Describe two privileges of members of the parliament.
2. Q14 Rajesh Kumar, an employee of the central government, was dismissed from his service on the ground of corruption, without being given a prior notice the opportunity of hearing. (i) Examine the validity of this dismissal in accordance to Article 311. (ii) Explain Doctrine of Pleasure.
3. Q15 By means of an amendment to the constitution, election disputes relating to post of Prime Minister and Speaker were kept beyond the scope of the courts and judicial screening. (i) Examine the validity of such amendment. (ii) Briefly describe the function of Election Commission of India.
4. Q16 Imagine a large country with a federal system. The national government wants to set a national speed limit for all highways. However, some states argue that their unique traffic patterns and road conditions necessitate different speed limits. (i) How does the concept of division of powers (a feature of federalism) apply to this situation? (ii) Which level of government (national or state) has the authority to regulate speed limits in this scenario? Why?
