1. Q17 'X' is admitted to hospital for childbirth. Her gynecologist advises a C-Section that 'X' undergoes. On second opinion, it is found that C-Section was not required. (i) What are the grounds on which 'X' can ask for compensation? (ii) Who is a 'gynecologist' under PCPNDT Act, 1994 (iii) What action can be taken against the gynecologist?
2. Q18 'X' was being treated for AIDS by hospital 'Y'. Hospital 'Y' informed his office of his disease due to which he lost his job and his fiancee broke off the engagement. (i) What is the duty of the hospital in such cases? (ii) Does 'X' have a claim against the hospital? Give Reasons (iii) On what grounds can the hospital justify its action?
