About this role
The Money team owns how Databricks meters, governs and bills usage of every product it sells, which makes it one of the few engineering teams where a bug is immediately a revenue or trust problem. The named scope is resource admission control and usage governance infrastructure, plus abuse prevention, commercialisation and keeping products reliably available at scale. The posting says you would be one of the first engineers for Money in India, so this is a team being seeded rather than joined, and early hires shape how it works. Expect end to end reconciliation, anomaly detection and data quality assurance to be part of the engineering rather than something a finance team does afterwards.
Who this is for
The employer asks for 12 or more years of production level experience in one of Java, Scala, C++ or a similar language, plus a BS, MS or PhD in computer science or a related field.
The day to day: owning the Money systems and services that govern usage across all Databricks products and offerings, starting with resource admission control and usage governance infrastructure; improving engineering and infrastructure efficiency, reliability, accuracy and response times including CI and CD processes, test frameworks, data quality assurance, end to end reconciliation and anomaly detection; and collaborating with platform and product teams to build infrastructure that scales. The work sits at the meeting point of abuse prevention, product commercialisation and reliable availability, so you will be translating diverse business needs into one system.
