  • Introduction-Time Value of Money; Simple and Compound Interest Rates; Real and Nominal Interest Rates;
  • Bond Pricing Fundamentals; Bond Yields; Interest Rates; Macaulay Duration and Modified Duration)

Module II: Portfolio Management (15)

  • Unit I: Portfolio Analysis:
  • The Returns & Risk from Investing, Markowitz Portfolio Theory, Mean Variance Approach
  • Portfolio Selection – Efficient Portfolio & Single Index Model – CAPM – APT
  • Unit II: Portfolio Performance:
  • Challenges in measuring returns; risk adjusted return measures,
  • Manipulation proof performance measure, alternative investment
