- Basic Concepts: Introduction to employee benefits and classification- Short-term benefits, post-employment benefits, Other long-term benefits Actuarial Valuation Concept: Meaning and need for actuarial valuation, Basic idea of valuation models used in India (gratuity focus), Key actuarial assumptions:

- 2. Salary growth
- 3. Mortality (Basic level only)
- Accounting Treatment - Recognition and measurement of employee benefit obligations.
