Syllabus for Short Stories from the West
The University’s own document is at odds with itself here. The paper is titled "Short Stories from the West", its stated objective is "To introduce English Short Stories", and all five of its reference books are Western short-story anthologies — but both of its modules are set on Indian mythology and the epics Ramayana and Mahabharata. Both printings are the University’s, and neither is corrected here. Check with your college which of the two the paper is actually taught and examined on.
