But with different kinds of dévelopments and inventions, the needs have increased substan tially. Somebody has rightly said that necessity is the mother of inventions. Television is the best example that confirms this fact was invented by a scientist named Besard of England in 1925. Surprisingly it has conquered the entire world in a span of 80 years. It has reached even the remotest villages today. The advantages of TV are many. Through TV we can watch events taking place even at distant places. We can see many miracies of science through discovery channel. We can get connected with the rest of the world through news channels. TV has spread education to masses. Underprivileged people can get the benefit of its educational programmes. it gives us knowledge about different parts of the world, the traditions, and the culture through different programmes. Even programmes related to cooking are shown. By telecasteing entertainment serials it has propagated the national language. We can see movies on TV. Our national channel Doordarshan live telecaste of the Independence Day and Republic day celebrations The means of entertainment in olden days were very few. They were hunting, dancing, painting animal fights, celebrating festivals, horse riding etc. But with the inventions and discoveries of science the trend changed Man is basically and a animal. He Started discovering different to : Obtain happiness. The modern instruments of entertainment Camera, video game and the most Popular internet. Telephone is without a Phone and Mobile. It’s Part.and parcel of life We can listen to music through radio or tape recorder Television has become an important member of our routine. We can see and get knowledge about with its help. Computers and internet facilities have revolutionized our life. You can get information aS well as entertainment through internet. Who does not sike to Play video or computer games? You can find new friends, discuss about some issues or listen to anything of your choice Apart from these electronic there are other means of entertainment too. Games are @ good source of Spending our “leisure time. They refresh US aS well as keeps us physically fit Ming reading are some other options. Still, many new means are ‘discovered every day. We will be in constant search of different channels of entertainment
