Fastly runs an edge cloud platform serving customers including GitHub, Yelp and JetBlue. This role sits in the Customer Security Operations Centre, and despite the security title it is a software engineering job: you build the internal SIEM and SOAR platform that Fastly's security analysts use. The stack is named and modern, FastAPI on the backend and React on the frontend, running on GCP with Kubernetes and Terraform, with Prometheus and Grafana for monitoring. The work is turning analysts' manual workflows into automated, reliable processes, which means sitting with them to understand the problem before writing the tool.
