Everpure
About this role
Portworx is Everpure's Kubernetes native storage and data management platform, and this role is on the team building a new SaaS control plane for it. The work is backend microservices in Go, Java or C++, running on a distributed architecture, and it stretches across the whole lifecycle: design reviews, code reviews, testing, documentation and the CI/CD pipelines that ship it. Kubernetes experience is listed as a bonus rather than a requirement, and prior work on the Kubernetes control plane is called out as a major plus. If you are four or five years into Go or Java backend work and want to move into container native infrastructure at a company where the storage layer is the product, this is a sensible step. Bangalore, and the office expectation is explicit.
Who this is for
Core requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4+ years of professional experience designing, developing and testing product components in Go, Java or C++.
- Strong grounding in microservices architecture, distributed systems, and building production grade platforms in the cloud.
- Solid computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms and software design.
- A collaborative working style. The posting emphasises open, team oriented development.
Preferred, described by the employer as what gives you a head start:
- Hands on Kubernetes and container experience. Prior Kubernetes control plane development is called a major plus.
- Building and integrating authentication (SSO, LDAP) and authorization (RBAC, OAuth) frameworks.
- Familiarity with e-commerce marketplace integration projects.
- Automating SaaS billing, usage reporting, or building telemetry systems that pull insight out of production services.
- Prior experience building public facing SDKs.
Day to day: building and scaling SaaS microservices inside the Portworx product line, owning the full engineering lifecycle including CI/CD, partnering with product management and early adopter customers, and experimenting with new technology to optimise the cloud infrastructure underneath.
Location and office reality: Bangalore. The posting states the team works in office and that you will be based out of the Bangalore office outside approved leave or work travel.
Honest fit guidance: the Kubernetes items are genuinely optional, so do not screen yourself out for lacking them if your Go or Java backend and distributed systems work is strong. The four year bar is a floor.
