You are at the upload boxes on the AIBE form, the upload keeps failing, and the portal is not telling you what size it wants. Here are the exact numbers.
Then, because it matters more than the numbers do, here is the one document that carries a written warning about your result, and an honest account of where all of this came from.

Those two sets of numbers are printed as labelled dimension arrows around the upload boxes on the personal details step of the form itself. The photo is taller than it is wide. The signature is wider than it is tall. They are not interchangeable and the form does not resize anything for you.
For the supporting documents, the form prints two lines of its own:

File should not be greater than 600KB !
So, for the documents: three formats, .Jpeg, .Jpg and .pdf. No PNG. No Word file. No HEIC, which is what a recent iPhone saves by default. And 600KB is the ceiling on each file.
The photo and the signature are a separate question. Both of those notes sit with the document uploads, and we did not see a file size printed beside the photo and signature boxes, only the dimensions in the table above. So we are not going to tell you what size those two may be. Keep them small and correctly sized and the question does not arise.
Why you could not find this anywhere else
Because it is not written down anywhere.
The Bar Council publishes no written guide to its own application form. The portal's "How To Apply" link is not a page. It is aibe.digivarsity.online/Documents/HowToApply.mp4, a 209 MB, 1920 by 1080, six minute screen recording of somebody filling the form in. Three of the neighbouring links on that portal, "Eligibility Criteria", "Payment of Fees" and "Scheme Of Examination", do not open a page at all.
We downloaded the video on 23 September 2026, split it into frames, and read the text off the screen. The photo dimensions, the file formats, the 600KB limit and the document list above are all read off the Bar Council's own recording of its own form. Nothing was typed into the portal and no account was created, because account creation needs a mobile OTP, an email OTP and a password.
That is the whole reason no other site carries these numbers. There is no press release to copy and no notice PDF to quote. You have to watch a 209 MB video to the right second. We are telling you this so you can weigh the source yourself. This is the Bar Council's own material. It is not the Bar Council's written word. If the portal ever contradicts it, the portal wins.
The seven documents the form asks for
Every one of these is starred as required on the form:
- Secondary / Matriculation / class 10th certificate or marksheet
- Higher Secondary Examination certificate or marksheet
- Graduation Mark Sheet
- LLB Mark Sheet (All Passed Semester Marksheet)
- Category Certificate (for ST / SC / OBC)
- Disability Certificate
- Enrolment Certificate
Read item 4 twice. It says all passed semester marksheets, not the final one. If you are in your final semester and sitting under the undertaking route, that is every semester you have cleared so far. Gather them before you open the form, not while the session is running.
Items 5 and 6 read as conditional in their own labels. The category certificate is described as being for ST, SC and OBC candidates. A disability certificate is a document a candidate without a disability does not have. We are recording what the form shows, which is that all seven appear as starred. We are not going to tell you what a General candidate should put in boxes 5 and 6, because we did not create an account and we did not test it. If the form will not move past that step for you, the portal's help desk is the only route we can point at honestly.
Document 7, and the warning printed next to it
The Enrolment Certificate upload carries this text on the form:
Upload only your Enrollment Certificate issued by your State Bar Council. Do not upload the Undertaking Form, Bar Council ID card, or any other document. Incorrect uploads may lead to Withheld of your result.
That is the single most valuable line in this article, so read it slowly.
The two documents it names are precisely the two a candidate is most likely to reach for. If you have just signed an undertaking because you have no enrolment certificate yet, the undertaking form is the document sitting in your downloads folder. If you are enrolled, your Bar Council ID card is the thing in your wallet with your enrolment number on it. Both are wrong here. The form names them both by name and tells you what happens: your result may be withheld.
Not your form rejected. Not a request to re upload. Your result, after you have sat the exam, withheld. That is a consequence that arrives months after the mistake, when there is nothing left to fix.
So the rule is simple. The only thing that goes in box 7 is the enrolment certificate your State Bar Council issued you. If you do not have one, you are on the undertaking route. The form has a separate question for that on the personal details step, quoted in full in our step by step walkthrough of the form. Answer that question. Do not answer it by uploading the undertaking into the enrolment certificate box.
Getting a file under 600KB
This part is our practical advice, not a Bar Council instruction. We are flagging that because the difference matters on a page like this.
- 600KB is per file, not for all of them together. Each document is its own upload with its own limit.
- A phone photograph of a marksheet is usually far over the limit. A modern phone camera produces files several times 600KB before you have done anything. It will need resizing or resaving at a lower quality, and a marksheet stays perfectly readable well below that ceiling.
- Multi page documents are the ones that break the limit. An LLB marksheet covering every passed semester can run to several pages. A PDF is allowed, so use a PDF, and check its size before you try to upload it rather than after.
- Check the file extension, not the icon. The form accepts .Jpeg, .Jpg and .pdf. A screenshot on a Mac is a .png. A photo on a recent iPhone may be a .heic. Both look like photographs and neither is on the list. Convert before you upload.
- Do the photo and signature separately from the documents. They are different boxes with different dimensions, and the only dimensions we have seen published are the ones in the table at the top of this page.
What we do not have
We have the dimensions, the formats and the size cap, and that is what we have. We have not seen the Bar Council publish anything in writing about a photo background, an ink colour for the signature, how recent the photograph has to be, or a file size floor. We are not going to guess at any of them, because a confident guess on a page like this is worse than a blank.
We also do not have a recovery route for an upload that is refused with no reason given. No Bar Council document we read sets one out. What the portal offers on its home page is a Grievance Redressal link and a help desk number, and that is the only thing we will point you at.
One date is worth more than any tip here. For AIBE XXII, the last date to correct the registration form is 30 October 2026, three days after registration closes on 27 October. That is your window for anything you got wrong.
Where these facts come from

We read it on 23 September 2026 by extracting the video frames and reading the text on screen. The quotes above are the form's own words.
The AIBE XXII dates are quoted from the portal home page at aibe.digivarsity.online, read the same day, and appear in the Bar Council's press release of 18 July 2026.
These specifications are current as far as the Bar Council's published walkthrough goes. They are not carried in any notice, so nobody, including us, can tell you the day they last changed. If the form on your screen shows different numbers, believe your screen and please tell us, because we would rather correct this page than defend it.
We are not the Bar Council, we do not run the portal, and we cannot fix an upload for you.

Before you open the form, put these in one folder. Each one under 600KB, each one a .jpg, .jpeg or .pdf.

Resize the photo to 150 by 200 and the signature to 150 by 100. Then fill the form in one sitting.
Registration for AIBE XXII closes on 27 October 2026, payment on 28 October, corrections on 30 October. The exam is on 29 November 2026, which is about a month after the paperwork ends, and that month is the part that decides the result.
