Syllabus for Practical Paper - Viva Voce
Course Objectives
- Ability to render Chatasra and Tisra Jati Kayadas and Relas in Ektaal having Phrase tit and tirkit with at least eight variations and Tihai/Chakradar.
- Ability to render Gat tukadas and Chakradars in Ektaal with Padhant
- Ability to compose Tihai from different matras with given phrase.
- Ability to render expandable and non-expandable compositions in Rupak
Course Outcomes
By the end of the module, students should be able to:
- Understand & appreciate the facets of Kayada improvisation.
- Render the single, double,triple and quadruple of thekas.
- Present few expandable and non-expandable compositions in Ektaal and Rupak
- Undesrtast to make tihai with from different matras
Module 1: Presentation of Kayada composition in Ektaal
- Chatasra Jati Kayada with phrase tit and tirkit
- Tisra Jati Kayada with phrase tit/tirkit
Module 2: Presentation of in Ektaal
- Peshkar, Kayda,Rela with 5 Palta and tihai.
- Gat Tukadas and Chakradar with Padhant
Module 3: Presentation of following Taalas in single, double, Triple and quadruple speed ( By tabla and hands both).
- deepchandi, tevra , matt taal 2) 1 kayda ,1 rela with 4 Palta, tukda, chakradar in Rupak with padhant.
Module 4
- Gat kayda with phrase “din Tak” and Farmaish Chakradar in Teentaal
- Study of tihai starting from different matras
