Course Objectives
- To understand the method of practicing
- To know the Karnataka Taal padhati
- To Study Lay and laykari
- To understand compatitive study between talaas
- To understand about baaj of tabla.
Course Outcomes
By the end of the module students will:
- They should understand Method of practicing
- They should know the lay and laykari
- They should study a karnataki taal padhti
- They should able to understand comparative Study between talaas
- They should know the baaj of tabla.Expandable composition and method of their development.
Module 1: knowledge of Lay , taal and Notation
- Study of Bhatkhande and paluskar Notation system
- Writing Ekgun, Dugun, Tigun and Chaugun of Taalas learnt in previous year and this year as per both the notation systems.
- Writing compositions as per Pt. Bhatkhande notation systems.
- Introduction of karnatak taal padhati
- Expandable composition and method of their development.
Module 2: Meaning , Definitions and comparison
- Names of dash pran and details explanation of kaal ,marg,kriya
- Comparative study of Taal- Theka Kayda- Rela Adachautal – Deepchandi Tilwada – Jhoomra
- Explaination of band baaj and khula baaj.
- Explain lay and laykari
- Expandable composition and method of their development.
