Syllabus for Basics of Harmonium Playing Level I
The University prints this paper’s title two ways in the same circular: "Basics of Harmonium playing I level I" on the syllabus block itself, and "Basics of Harmonium Level 1" in the credit structure for the same semester.
Course Objectives
- Understanding of Indian classical music concepts.
- Proficiency in playing basic tunes.
- Foundation for further musical pursuits.
- To develop keyboard familiarly to study further in the field of western music.
- To develop further career opportunities in music industry.
Course Outcomes
By the end of the module, students should be able to:
- Develop keyboard familiarity which will open new horizons to other keyboard instruments in Western music
- Learn basic concepts like Raga, Tala, Lay, Gat, Dhun, etc
- This course will generate deep interest and a clear path for further advanced study.
- Get opportunities as solo and accompanying artist in the music industry.

- Learning simple alankars in different scales

- Playing Vilambit and Madhya Laya lehera in C# and G# scale in Teental
- Playing Vilambit and Madhya Layalehera in C# and G# scale in Jhaptal
