B.Sc. (Aviation) Meteorology III Syllabus - Mumbai University 2026

This is the University's syllabus for B.Sc. (Aviation) under the Credit Based Semester and Grading System, approved by the Academic Council on 7 April 2014 and in force from the academic year 2014-15. It is the scheme Mumbai University still examines this degree on: her Winter 2025 and Summer 2026 third-year timetables both name “CBSGS”.

This degree is examined in four theory subjects a semester and one practical the University does not publish a syllabus for: Flying Experience / Flying Check, 4 credits, up to the fifth semester. MU’s own note reads “In Sixth Semester there is no flying. Flying is replaced by project work.” Her Regulation R.8389 gives 4 credits for every 40 hours flown, R.8390 sets a minimum of 200 hours of flying training to obtain a Commercial Pilot Licence, and R.8388 awards the B.Sc. (Aviation) degree only when a verified CPL is submitted to the University.

A student admitted from 2011-12 onwards who does not complete the Flying Practical is awarded “Bachelor of Aviation Science” instead of “Bachelor of Science (Aviation)”, and for those students the Flying Practical and its credits are removed from the first and second year.
