B.F.A. (Sculpture) Dissertation Syllabus - Mumbai University 2026
This is the University of Mumbai syllabus for B.F.A. (Sculpture), Circular No. UG/210 of 2004 dated 28 May 2004 (Ordinances 5324 to 5330, Regulations 4545 to 4568), in force from the academic year 2004-2005. Circular No. UG/353 of 2008 amended the Final Year ordinance, O.5329, and changed no subject. It is still the scheme examined: the University set the Summer 2026 papers on it — History of Art (83301) and Aesthetics (83302) in the Second Year, History of Art (83401) in the Final Year — and has published no later B.F.A. syllabus. The Final Year B.F.A. examination is conducted by the University of Mumbai, on exam form 4O02424.

Syllabus for Dissertation
MU spells this “Dissertation” in the detailed syllabus and “Dessertation” in both her scheme of papers and her Education Pattern table. The paper is submitted at the time of the examination, in the format MU gives.
Group I (Theory) Lectures per Academic Year: 80 hours
- For writing a Dissertation use your experience and what you learn in these four years of sculpture Dept. You can write project on any subject dependent on sculpture. (Sculpture, media, aesthetical sense, new creation) Write your own thoughts, aesthetical sense on Indian or western Sculptures. Improvements and creation of Indian temples. Impact on students of any sculptor and his sculpture.
- No coping of any Para from books of history and aesthetics is allowed.
- All over Dissertation should be totally of own thoughts.
