B.F.A. (Painting) Third Year BFA Painting Syllabus - Mumbai University
This is the University of Mumbai syllabus for the B.F.A. (Painting), the Revised Course in force from the academic year 2004-2005. It is still the current scheme: MU has never revised it, the University's own Faculty of Fine Art register still lists this degree as Ordinance O.5310 under Circular No. UG/210 of 2004, and the syllabus below is what MU's Summer 2026 examinations were set on.
The B.F.A. is a four-year degree examined once a year, not by semester — MU has never semesterised it. The University of Mumbai sets and conducts the Second Year and Final Year examinations itself; the First and Third Year examinations are conducted by the college, on this same syllabus.

These are the subjects the University sets for the Third Year of this degree. 9 are taught and 6 are examined; the other 3 are marked "Not for examination" in MU's own Education Pattern table and are carried here because MU publishes a full syllabus for them. The Third Year examination is conducted by a College of Art recognised by the University of Mumbai.
