BFA Metal Work Syllabus - Mumbai University

This is the University of Mumbai syllabus for B.F.A. (Metal Work), Circular No. UG/210 of 2004 dated 28 May 2004 (Ordinances 5317 to 5323), in force from the academic year 2004-2005 and amended for the Third Year Execution/Application by Circular No. UG/352 of 2008. It is still the scheme examined: the University set the Summer 2026 papers on it, and has published no later B.F.A. syllabus.

The B.F.A. (Metal Work) runs over four academic years and is not divided into semesters. The University of Mumbai conducts the Second Year and Final Year examinations itself; the First Year and Third Year examinations are conducted by the college recognised by the University.

Each year is taught in two groups — Group I (Theory) and Group II (Practicals) — and the University marks each subject out of 100, 40 for class work and 60 for the examination. Some subjects are taught and not examined; the syllabus marks those, and so does every page here.
