- Traditional and modern applications of biotechnology. Classification of micro-organisms. Structure of cells, types of cells. Basic metabolism of cells.
Module 2: Biological polymers: printed in the syllabus as Module Course Contents
Module 3: Enzyme Technology: Nomenclature and classification of enzymes. printed in the syllabus as Module Course Contents
- Enzyme kinetics. Microbial growth kinetics. Michaels Menten Kinetics, Immobilized enzyme kinetics, Immobilization of enzymes. Industrial applications of enzymes.
Module 4: Biotechnology in health care and genetics: Pharmaceuticals and bio- printed in the syllabus as Module Course Contents
