Module I: Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship

  • Concept, characteristics, and importance of entrepreneurship
  • Types of entrepreneurs: Innovative, Imitative, Social, Serial
  • Entrepreneurship vs. management
  • Role of entrepreneurship in economic development
  • Barriers to entrepreneurship
  • Entrepreneurship in the transport sector: Trends and opportunities

Module II: Bbusiness Planning and Environment

  • Business environment: Economic, social, technological, and political factors
  • Opportunity recognition and idea generation
  • Feasibility analysis and business plan preparation
  • Legal and regulatory aspects for transport businesses (permits, licenses, GST, road laws)
  • Sources of finance: Banks, venture capital, angel investors, government schemes (Startup India, MSME, etc.)

Module III: Functional Aspects of Entrepreneurial Management

  • Marketing management in transport: Market segmentation, pricing, promotion, and service marketing
  • Financial management: Capital budgeting, working capital, cost control, pricing strategy
  • Human resource management: Recruitment, training, motivation, performance appraisal
  • Operations management in transport enterprises: Fleet management, logistics, scheduling, and supply chain management

  • Innovation, technology adoption, and digitalization in transport (GPS, app-based services, AI-based logistics)

  • Challenges faced by transport entrepreneurs: Competition, regulations, infrastructure, environmental concerns
  • Corporate social responsibility and sustainable practices: Case studies of successful transport enterprises
