Module II: Costing, Pricing, and Revenue Management
- Classification of transport costs: - Fixed and variable costs, Operating and capital costs, Direct and indirect costs
- Cost allocation methods in transport services
- Fare and tariff structures in road, rail, air, and water transport
- Subsidies and cross-subsidization
- Revenue management and yield optimization
Module III: Financing of Transport Infrastructure
- Sources of finance for transport projects: - Government budgetary support, Taxes, duties, and user charges, Loans, bonds, and grants
- Public–Private Partnership (PPP) models: -BOT, BOOT, DBFOT, HAM, etc.
- Role of multilateral and bilateral funding agencies
- Transport infrastructure financing in developing economies
- Case examples of major transport projects.
Module IV: Financial Appraisal and Risk Management
- Financial appraisal methods: -Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), Benefit–Cost Ratio (BCR), Payback period
