Syllabus for Entrepreneurship Development
Module I: The Entrepreneur & theories of Entrepreneurship
- Unit 1: Entrepreneur: Meaning, Nature, origin and development of entrepreneurship in India, Need and Importance, Core elements, Principles, Essentials, Types, Functions, Concept of entrepreneurship management, Motives behind being an entrepreneur, Entrepreneurial Process
- Unit 2: Theories of Entrepreneurship: Innovation Theory of Schumpeter, Need for Achievement Theory of McClelland, Risk Bearing Theory of knight, Hagen’s Theory of Entrepreneurship, Economic Theory of Entrepreneurship.
Module II: Skills and Values of Entrepreneurship
- Unit 1: Entrepreneurial Values and Attitudes, Dominant characteristics of successful entrepreneurs, Internal and external factors for entrepreneurial motivation
- Unit 2: Entrepreneurial Skills, Identifying business opportunities, Role of creativity in Entrepreneurship, the creative process, the Innovation process, types of innovation, sources of innovation, principles ofinnovation, Sources of Business Ideas.
