  • Branches of accounting.
  • Accounting concepts, Conventions and Principles.
  • Double Entry System, Classifications of accounts
  • Rules of debit and credit.
  • Writing of journal Entries and Ledger, Sub division of journal.

Classification of Income & Expenses & Accounting Standards

  • Classifications of Income, Expenditure and Receipts based on capital and revenue.
  • Source documents required for practical accounting.
  • Accounting Standard 1, 2, 6, 8, 9, 10. Understanding Fair value concept.
  • AS 2- Inventory Valuation ( Physical Stock Taking: FIFO and Weighted Average Only)
  • Overview of Ind-AS vis-à-vis International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRSs).

Depreciation Accounting & Trial Balance

  • Depreciation accounting: Practical problem based on depreciation using SLM and RBM methods.
  • (Where Provision for depreciation Account not maintained).
  • Preparation of Trial Balance: Introduction and Preparation of Trial Balance

Final Accounts

  • Introduction to Final Accounts of a Sole proprietor.
