This is the SY BCom Accountancy syllabus under NEP 2020, in force from the academic year 2025-26. The University clubbed this degree with B.Com., B.Com. (Business Economics) and B.Com. (Business Management) on 25 May 2026 and now awards it as B.Com. (Commerce and Management), with Accountancy as the Major: the papers below are the ones its own Board of Studies sets, so your exam form may name the degree differently from your admission letter. The four Major papers of Semesters III and IV are the four credit versions the University issued on 22 June 2026, which carry twice the modules of the two credit papers set for these semesters before them.

Module II: Treasury and Cash Management

- Cash Management: Need, Plan and Budgeting
- Preparation of Cash Budgets for short and long period
- Managing Cash Collection and Disbursements: Accelerating Cash Collections and Controlling payments
- Cash Model: Calculation of Cash Cycle, Minimum Operating Cash and Cash Turnover.

Module III: Receivable Management
- Meaning, objectives, significance and costs of receivables management.
- Credit Policy – Credit standards, credit period, cash discounts, collection policy and evaluation of alternative credit policies.
- Credit Analysis and Control – Creditworthiness assessment, sources of credit information, Ageing Schedule, Debtors Turnover Ratio and Average Collection Period.
- Collection Management – Collection procedures, Lock Box System and Concentration Banking.
- Factoring and Receivables Financing – Meaning, types, advantages, limitations and comparison with bills discounting.
- Practical Component – Problems on credit policy decisions, investment in receivables, ageing analysis, Debtors Turnover Ratio, Average Collection Period, Factoring and receivables management case studies.
Module IV: Management Accounting's Role in Sustainability Reporting
- The three pillars of sustainability: environment, society, and economy
- Why businesses are being asked to report on more than just profit
- The management accountant's evolving role: from cost controller to sustainability partner
- A simple introduction to key terms: ESG, carbon footprint, stakeholders and GRI (Global Reporting Initiative): the most widely used standard globally
- Concept of Financial materiality impact materiality, Double materiality:
- Structure of a typical sustainability report
- Signs of a good report: specific data, comparatives, targets, third-party verification
- Examples from industries: manufacturing, hospitality and retail
- Common ESG KPIs across environment, social, and governance dimensions
- Basic calculations of organisational carbon footprint using the GHG Protocol Scope 1, 2, and 3 framework.
