Module 02: Industrial Sector of India: (15 Hours)
- Role & importance of Industrial sector in Indian Economy. Classification of industry: Large, Medium, Small & Micro Enterprises. Benefits, problems & measures of MSME -Impact of Liberalization on Indian industry. An overview of Industrial Policy of India 1956 & 1991. Industrial sickness, Industrial finance & Industrial labor.
Module 03: Tertiary Sector & Economic Planning in India: (15 Hours)
- Growth & contribution of Service sector in Indian Economy. Employment generation in Services sector. Importance of BPO, KPO & IT services for employment in India. Performance of Trade and Tourism services. Meaning and major objectives Economic Planning in India. Major constraints and outcomes of Economic Planning. Planning Commission Vs NITI Aayog.
Module 04: Indian Export-Import and public Finance: (15 Hours)
- Size of Indian Exports & Imports since Independence. Structure/pattern of Export & Import pre and post 1991. Direction of foreign trade of India. Problems & measures of Indian Export. India’s Foreign Trade Policy 2023. Meaning & types of Budget. Limitations of Budget in India. Sources of Public Revenue and different types of Public Expenditure in India. Budgetary deficit & Deficit finance in India.
