Module 1: Fundamentals of Indian Agriculture: (15 Hours)
- Role of Agriculture in Economic Development -Features of Indian Agriculture, Productivity of major crops in India- Cropping pattern in India-Concept and Supportive schemes for the organic farming - Irrigation in India - Problems and importance - Agricultural labour Problems and remedies - Principles and practices of organic farming, Government schemes supporting organic cultivation.
Module 2: Agricultural Credit (15 Hours)
- Institutional and Non-Institutional Sources of Credit, Co-operative Credit and Agriculture Rural Indebtedness - Commercial Banks and Regional Rural Banks - Microfinance and NABARD – Role and Performance - Crop loan and Crop Insurance, Kisan Credit Card Yojana.
