• 12 Importance of Non Governmental Organizations in combating social issues.
• 13 Orientation visit to organizations working for women and children to understand their vision , mission, activities , way of functioning and role of a field worker.
• 14 To Explore the work done by rehabilitation centers Centers an orientation visit will be organized to a home for destitues and the mentally ill.
• 15 4 to 5 orientation visits to different NGOs to study the impact of their work. Learning through Observation: Field placement for 10 hours to conceptualize the working and functioning of NGOs and role of a field worker.
• 17 Session on Writing clear and precise field work reports.
• 18 Presentation on field work which must include learnings, observations, analysis, own values and biases.
• 19 Reading the research work done by different organizations on social issues and exploring how good research uses tools like surveys and interviews to find the gap between ‘What is’ and ‘What is required’.
• 20 Explanation on the format of designing a ‘Socially Useful and Productive Work’ idea/project.
• 21 Planning and Designing a plan /project based on ‘Socially Useful and Productive Work’ in teams and sharing the same with the staff of NGOs working on similar issues.
• 22 Through Observation gaining an understanding of the importance of street plays, folk dance etc in spreading awareness regarding social issues among stakeholders. Paying detailed attention to: How street plays ,folk dances are designed keeping cultural sensitivity in mind.
