Syllabus for Commercial French
Course outcomes
- CO 1 To develop spoken and written communication skills in Business French.
- CO 2 To be able to write simple CVs, letter of applications, simple business letters in French.
- CO 3 To be able to participate effectively in conferences, phone calls, business meetings, interviews in French.
- CO 4 To equip students for the professional work space.
Module 1: Communication 1 credit
- Unit 1 Linguistic Skills
- Unit 2 Speech Acts
Module 2: Situation specific 1 credit
- Unit 3 The professional world (companies, meetings etc.)
- Unit 4 Dialogues and written skills (writing minutes, making presentations, sales talk etc.)
