Course outcomes
- CO 1 To understand the rich heritage of India and traditional knowledge in the field of Arts and literature, Agriculture, Basic Sciences, Engineering & Technology, Architecture, Management, Economics, Jurisprudence, Health Care.
- CO 2 To promote interdisciplinary research on all aspects of IKS.
- CO 3 To preserve and disseminate IKS for further research and societal applications.
- CO 4 To apply theoretical and conceptual knowledge for a pragmatic approach to daily life.
Module 1: Studying the basics 1 credit
- Unit 1 Idea of India: dharma, geography and Indian philosophy
- Unit 2 Ancient Indian political thought and Indian society
Module 2: Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) 1 credit
- Unit 3 Indian arts and aesthetics, Indian languages and literature
- Unit 4 Ayurveda and yoga, science and technology
