About this role
Paytm is the mobile payments company that made QR codes normal in India, and this seat sits in its
insurance technology team. The product is a lending and collections platform that pools many lenders
onto one underwriting engine, so the things you test are money flows, not marketing pages. You will
write and run manual test suites (functional, regression, sanity, integration) and automate them in
Selenium, Appium and REST Assured against web, mobile web, Android and iOS surfaces, plus API and
web services testing. Java is the automation language, with SQL against MySQL to check what actually
landed in the database. At 2 years on the floor this is one of the two most accessible roles on the

Who this is for
Requirements as the posting states them. Educational qualification BE, B.Tech, MCA or M.Tech, which
is a hard filter here. 2 to 6 years of experience in manual testing (functional, regression, sanity,
integration) and automation (Selenium, Appium, API). Within that, 2+ years of relevant experience in
automation and manual testing, and 2+ years specifically in automation with Selenium and Java.
Experience with a BDD framework such as Cucumber, and with Rest Assured. Analysing requirements and
PRDs and writing test cases from them. Web, mobile web and mobile app testing. API and web services
testing. Writing SQL queries with exposure to MySQL. Defect life cycle with hands-on Jira. Working
experience in Linux. Agile methodology. Selenium WebDriver and Appium. Programming in Java preferred.
Open source tooling: Eclipse, JUnit, Maven. Scripting in shell, Python, Perl or Ruby.
Nice to have: Jenkins exposure. Candidates from the e-commerce domain are explicitly preferred.
