Software Engineer I | Entry Level Backend and APIs for a Cloud IT Management Platform
Pune, India Full-time 1 year or less

Required: a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent practical experience, and 1 or more years of software engineering experience, internship experience, or relevant project experience. The posting treats those three as alternatives, which is what makes this reachable straight out of college. You need foundational programming in Java, C#, .NET or similar, plus a basic understanding of databases, APIs, software design principles, debugging and automated testing. Nice to have: exposure to SaaS applications, cloud hosted systems, enterprise software or cybersecurity products; familiarity with MySQL, SQL, AWS, REST APIs, CI/CD tooling, source control or agile practice; contributions to production software, academic projects, internships or open source; and an interest in automation, cloud, distributed systems or infrastructure. The day to day: developing, testing, debugging and maintaining features; contributing to backend services, APIs, tools and integrations; joining code reviews, sprint planning and troubleshooting; writing tests and documentation; and working with QA, product, UX and operations. The posting expects you to learn agile delivery, CI/CD, automated testing and DevOps fundamentals on the job. Location is Pune and the posting does not publish a remote or office day policy, so ask at first contact. No interview process is published. Good fit if you are a recent graduate or in your first year and want a platform product rather than a services role. Not a fit if you need remote work or want to lead design immediately.

Site Reliability Engineer | Linux, Networking and MySQL for Fintech Infrastructure at Scale
Bangalore, India Full-time 2 years and above

Required: 2 or more years in Linux and Unix administration with real depth in the field, working knowledge of computer networking, and hands on Linux networking including IP, iptables and IPsec. You need to work effectively with MySQL, and experience with MariaDB or Percona is called out as a plus. Coding and scripting skills are expected, along with a wide range of open source technologies and tools and a strong emphasis on cloud services. Clear English communication is listed as a requirement because the role sits in an on call rotation. The day to day: applying operations best practice to keep services always up and always available, participating actively in the on call rotation schedule, and using open source tooling across the estate. Location is Bangalore. PhonePe lists benefits in detail (insurance, an onsite medical centre, parental and relocation support) but does not publish an office day policy or an interview process in this posting, so confirm both at first contact. Good fit if you are two or three years into Linux systems or infrastructure work and want scale that genuinely tests you. Not a fit if you want application development: this is systems, networking and database administration, and the on call rotation is real.

Software Engineer II | Go or Java Backend Services for Identity Verification and Fraud Prevention
India Full-time 2 to 4 years

Required: 2 to 4 years of backend software engineering experience, strong coding in Go, Java or a similar backend language, and solid computer science fundamentals across data structures, algorithms and distributed systems. You need experience with REST APIs, microservices, SQL and NoSQL databases and event driven systems, plus familiarity with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, SQS or RabbitMQ and CI/CD. Socure asks for a strong ownership mindset, the ability to take a feature or service end to end, and the communication skills to explain technical trade offs clearly. The day to day: building and owning backend services, REST APIs and microservices from design through production; developing scalable, secure application layer systems; working on distributed systems, asynchronous workflows, messaging, retries and fault tolerance; partnering with Product, Infrastructure, Data Science and ML teams; and taking part in technical design, code review, testing, CI/CD and production troubleshooting. Location is listed as hybrid in India without a named city, so ask which office and how many days. No interview process is published. Socure lists an accommodation contact for any stage of the process. Good fit if you have two to four years of backend work and want application layer depth. The posting warns plainly that it is not the place for predictability or narrow scope, which is a fair signal about pace.

Technical Account Manager | Client Value Delivery on an Agentic Finance Platform, Up to 50 Percent Travel
Hyderabad, India Full-time 2 to 5 years

Required: 2 to 5 years of data science or client management experience. The posting names target degrees explicitly, which is unusual and worth reading as a filter: Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or Management Information Systems. You need to be comfortable leading a meeting with finance directors, managers and subject matter experts, and the posting is clear that you should also enjoy data analysis and reconfiguring agents yourself, so this is not a purely relationship facing seat. The day to day: running deep dive observations of client finance workflows to find bottlenecks; designing adoption playbooks; owning monthly operational committee meetings with client subject matter experts; preparing executives for steering committees; stack ranking client requests using a value versus complexity matrix; preventing scope creep against the product roadmap; coordinating Product, Engineering and Consulting on escalations; and leading the war room when a critical issue lands, including the post mortem. Location is Hyderabad with travel up to 50 percent to client sites. No interview process is published, and HighRadius does not state an office day policy here, though its other current listings specify five days in office, so ask. Good fit if you want a customer facing technical career rather than a pure engineering one. Not a fit if you cannot travel heavily.

Software Engineer II | Backend Services and APIs for Cloud IT Management, Production Support Included
Pune, India Full-time 3 years and above

Required: a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent practical experience, and 3 or more years of software engineering experience building production software, SaaS applications, platform services or similar systems. The posting expects you to be hands on, to have delivered production software already, and to keep growing technical depth in modern SaaS and distributed systems. The day to day: developing, testing and maintaining features for cloud applications and platform services; contributing to backend services, APIs, integrations and core platform components; joining code reviews, design discussions, sprint planning, troubleshooting and production support; following practice for secure coding, automated testing, CI/CD, documentation and maintainability; investigating bugs, performance problems and customer impacting defects through to resolution; and contributing to reliability, usability, security, scalability and performance. You would work with senior engineers, QA, product management, UX and operations, so this is a collaborative seat rather than an isolated one. Location is Pune. Kaseya does not publish an office day policy or an interview process in this posting, so ask at first contact. The company describes itself as high growth and high performance and says success comes from moving with urgency, which is worth taking at face value when you judge pace. Good fit at three to five years if you want ownership of services in production. Not a fit if you want to avoid production support.

Staff Engineer, Software Security | AppSec and AI Threat Modelling with SAST, DAST and SBOMs
Pune, India Full-time 3 to 5 years

Required: 3 to 5 years of security engineering experience in a SaaS product company. The role is explicitly hands on, and you need to read and review code in Python, Go, JavaScript and similar languages well enough to triage findings and propose real fixes rather than file tickets. The day to day: integrating and maintaining automated security controls (SAST, DAST, SCA, container scanning, secrets detection) inside CI/CD pipelines and developer workflows; using AI tooling operationally for auto triage, threat model drafting and fix generation; assessing risks in generative and agentic AI architectures including MCP integrations, autonomous agents, tool calling, multi agent communication, prompt injection and memory or context poisoning; managing third party open source risk, dependency tracking and Software Bills of Materials; and running secure coding workshops and a Security Champions network. You would partner with engineering, Information Security, GRC, BuildOps and DevOps, so this is a cross cutting role rather than a siloed one. Location is Pune. No office day policy and no interview process are published. Good fit if you have three to five years in AppSec and want to move into AI security while it is still being defined. Note the Staff title against a 3 to 5 year requirement: judge the level by the scope described, not the word.

Forward Deployed Engineer | Python and Java or Go Embedded with Enterprise Merchants on Payments
Bengaluru, India Full-time 4 years and above

Required: SDE2 level or above. The posting says 4 or more years for the senior seat, then adds that exceptional candidates with less will be considered, so the floor is softer than usual. It hires for a T shaped profile and sets out the weighting: about 50 percent engineering as a strong hands on coder in Python plus one of Java, Go or TypeScript writing production grade code rather than prototypes; about 30 percent systems and deployment covering APIs, webhooks, integration patterns, cloud on AWS or GCP and debugging across distributed systems, with payments flow experience a strong plus; and about 20 percent communication and ownership, meaning you can explain a complex system to a non technical merchant lead and turn vague asks into clear specs. The day to day: being the single engineering face a merchant sees, with no handoffs; scoping and solutioning with the merchant, ideally before the contract is signed; writing and reviewing production code including custom flows, SDK integration, orchestration logic and server to server hooks; using coding, knowledge and routing agents at full strength, since the posting expects you to be the most AI leveraged engineer in the organisation; and feeding repeated patterns back to the product teams. Service expectation, stated in the posting: a regular progress cadence with the merchant and acknowledgement of raised issues within 2 hours. Location is Bengaluru. No interview process is published. Good fit if you want customer facing engineering with real code.

Nice to have: a deep understanding of enterprise software sales processes, field and sales operations and go to market mechanics; proficiency with Python scripting and dbt data modelling; and proven ability to take complex requirements from US based stakeholders, do the work during India business hours, and hand off well enough that projects progress without real time oversight. The day to day: designing and maintaining high visibility Tableau dashboards; building and optimising production grade data sets in Snowflake so pipeline, bookings and productivity data stays clean and self service; owning technical documentation, data lineage and metric definitions; championing generative AI across the analytics lifecycle; and working with Field Operations, Business Systems and Data and Insights teams. No office day policy and no interview process are published, so ask at first contact. Good fit if you are a Java backend engineer at five or more years who wants distributed systems scale and a clearly stated stack. Not a fit if you want frontend or full stack breadth.

Bangalore, India Full-time 5 years and above

Required: 5 or more years of experience as a software engineer with strong general purpose coding skills, Go or Python preferred. You need working knowledge of CI/CD and developer workflows, but the posting is explicit that the emphasis has shifted away from managing build systems in isolation and towards shipping product quality software. The day to day: building and hardening AI powered developer tools including automated code review, CI failure triage and agentic automation; designing reliable, observable systems that put AI agents safely into everyday engineering work; and rolling them out in collaboration with engineering teams across the company. Concrete examples given: migrating major repositories off third party review tools onto an in house AI driven pull request review system; adding observability that surfaces findings, confidence scores and token and cost metrics as build artifacts, backed by an event gateway routing webhooks through Pub/Sub; and building a triage agent that scores suspect pull requests by file overlap and posts a verdict such as revert recommended, likely flake or likely infra. The team states its values plainly, including minimising toil, shipping incrementally, measuring quality with real data, and being honest about where AI tooling still needs a human in the loop. Work model: Cockroach Labs runs a hybrid model, with people local to an office coming in on set days. Location is Bangalore. No interview process is published. Staff Software Engineer, Android | Kotlin Device Authenticators for Passwordless Access
Bengaluru, India Full-time 5 to 7 years

Required: 5 to 7 years of software development experience, including at least 3 years designing and building scalable, high performance client side features on Android using Kotlin. The organisation describes its engineers as people who work at the intersection of deep client side platform engineering and massive scale distributed systems, so backend awareness matters even though this is an Android seat. The day to day: architecting, building and scaling the client side software and services at the heart of Okta's security and identity platform; designing solutions for current and emerging industry challenges in device identity; and acting as a player coach, mentoring other engineers and raising the team's capability while remaining hands on. Context worth knowing: the team owns the continuous authentication pipeline, device lifecycle management, and the cloud services that analyse real time trust and assurance signals to make passwordless access work. The posting says the work secures millions of enterprise endpoints globally. Location is Bengaluru. Okta's other current Bengaluru listings specify hybrid with 2 to 3 days onsite per week, but this particular posting does not state its office policy, so confirm it at first contact rather than assuming. No interview process is published. Good fit if you are a senior Android engineer who wants security and identity depth rather than another consumer app.

Reporting line: this role reports to the Manager, Software Development Engineering. Work model: Zscaler operates a hybrid working model and references in office perks, but this posting does not state the office day count, so ask. Location is Bangalore. Senior Developer | Java with Azure, TDD and Continuous Delivery in Client Consulting
Bangalore, India Full-time 5 years and above

Required: five or more years of experience in Java development. The posting states this in words rather than digits, so it will not show up in most automated experience filters. The day to day: learning and adopting practices such as writing clean, reusable code with test driven development, pair programming and design patterns; using and advocating continuous delivery to ship high quality software early; working in collaborative, value driven teams building customer experiences for clients; creating large scale distributed systems out of microservices; collaborating on features, design concepts and interactive prototypes while keeping UX specifications embedded; applying current technology thinking from the company's Technology Radar to client problems; using DevSecOps tooling and shifting security left; and taking part in the entire cycle of software consulting and delivery from ideation to deployment. The posting also describes an expectation that senior developers proactively assess their team's health, code quality and non functional requirements, and act as mentors for more junior consultants. It frames the role as bringing integrity to technology and making sure all voices are heard, so collaboration and healthy debate are treated as part of the job rather than soft extras. Location is Bangalore. Thoughtworks does not publish an office day policy or an interview process in this posting. Note that a comparable current Thoughtworks listing specifies working all five days, so confirm this one rather than assuming. Good fit if you want strong engineering practice and variety across clients. Not a fit if you want to own a single product long term.

Senior Software Engineer, Backend | Distributed Systems and Developer Platforms with Rust Focus
Bengaluru, India Full-time 6 years and above

Required: a BS or higher in Computer Science or a related field, and 6 or more years of production level experience in Python, Java, Scala, C++ or a similar language. You need experience developing large scale distributed systems from scratch, experience with a SaaS platform or service oriented architectures, and proficiency in one or more backend languages such as Java, Scala or Go, with hands on experience developing and operating backend systems. The posting sets a clear expectation about autonomy at this level: you should be able to contribute across all project phases, from initial design and development through implementation and ongoing operations, with guidance from senior team members. That is worth reading carefully, because it positions this as a senior contributor role rather than an independent architect seat. The day to day, from the examples given: building foundational infrastructure platforms that let Databricks operate across many geographic regions and cloud providers; implementing cloud agnostic infrastructure abstractions so engineers can manage and operate services more efficiently; and developing tools and processes that drive engineering efficiency, spanning programming languages, linters, static analysis, IDEs, remote development environments, automated release pipelines and test automation frameworks. The current focus named is optimising the Rust development experience organisation wide. Location is Bengaluru. No office day policy and no interview process are published in this posting. Good fit if you want distributed systems or developer platform work at genuine scale, and are comfortable that the exact team is decided through the process.

The day to day: designing, building and maintaining Rust first connectivity layers, execution APIs and adapter scaffolding; partnering with the teams building the dbt compiler, semantic layer and runtime to evolve adapter interfaces and system boundaries; contributing to Arrow and ADBC and other open source specifications or implementations; owning CI, testing frameworks, profiling, error reporting surfaces and release readiness for Fusion adapters; debugging complex interoperability and performance issues across drivers, engines and compute domains; collaborating with internal and community maintainers to review pull requests, write RFCs and evolve public code architecture; and mentoring engineers on systems best practice around resilience, debuggability and API clarity. One detail worth weighing: a meaningful part of this job happens in public. Reviewing community pull requests and writing RFCs means your work is visible outside the company, which is good for your professional record and different from most enterprise backend roles. Title note: the requisition is titled Staff Software Engineer but the body opens by describing the role as a Senior Engineer on the Fusion Adapters and Connectivity team. Ask where it actually sits on the ladder, since that affects both level and compensation. Location is Bengaluru, listed within an APAC posting. No office day policy or interview process is published.

Lead Technical Support Engineer | Senior Escalations for Fleet Safety Platforms, Rotating Shifts
Bengaluru, India Full-time 6 to 8 years

Required: 6 to 8 years of technical support experience, preferably with SaaS or cloud based platforms. You need basic SQL and working experience with one or more databases such as Postgres or MySQL, familiarity with ITSM tools, and hands on experience with REST APIs and webhooks. Strong English communication and customer relationship skills are required, and prior experience supporting international customers, US or UK preferred, is called out. The day to day: troubleshooting and resolving customer reported issues by phone, chat and remote tools; performing root cause analysis and recommending corrective actions; collaborating with engineering, QA and product teams on technical challenges; working support rotations including incident escalation handling; maintaining case documentation and timely customer follow ups; and escalating unresolved or critical issues with supporting technical detail. Title note worth reading carefully: the word Lead here appears to signal seniority and escalation depth rather than people management. The posting describes the same liaison responsibilities as the junior seats, with a higher experience bar and no direct reports, hiring or performance duties mentioned. If you want a management step specifically, confirm that in the first conversation rather than assuming it from the title. Shift reality, stated in the posting: a 24x7x365 operations centre requiring flexibility for any shift based on business need, including Saturday and Sunday. Location is Bengaluru. No interview process is published. Good fit if you have six or more years in product support and want the most senior escalation seat on a hardware and software platform.

Bangalore, India Full-time 8 years and above

Required: 8 or more years of professional experience with a proven track record in production level backend development using Python or Golang, plus expert level proficiency building and optimising distributed data pipelines. Data engineering depth is central to this role rather than adjacent to it. The day to day: designing and maintaining high throughput detection systems and backend services with low latency and high reliability; leading development of data pipelines in Spark and Airflow that supply detection teams with high fidelity data for machine learning model training and evaluation; partnering with engineering managers to define technical roadmaps; mentoring junior and mid level engineers and driving code quality and system design practice; leading adoption of AI productivity tooling, with Claude, OpenAI and GitHub Copilot named directly, to speed up the development lifecycle; working with technical program managers, product managers, data scientists and security researchers; and managing and optimising cloud native infrastructure on AWS and EKS for cost, security and performance. Scope note: the posting calls the role a Tech Lead and describes you as a technical anchor and force multiplier who owns the architectural blueprint. The responsibilities are architecture, mentoring and technical direction, with no hiring, headcount or performance management named, so it reads as a senior individual contributor seat rather than a management one. Confirm at first contact if the distinction matters to you. Location is hybrid in Bangalore. No interview process is published.

Senior Backend Engineer | All Remote, Async First Backend Work on a Global DevSecOps Platform
Bangalore, India Full-time Not stated in the posting

Experience: GitLab does not publish a years of experience figure in this posting, so we have left it blank rather than guess one. The level is stated as Senior Backend Engineer, and the responsibilities imply someone who can ship complex work with minimal guidance. The day to day: designing and shipping moderate to complex backend features with minimal guidance, making pragmatic choices between modular monolith code, shared components or independently operated services; advocating for product quality, security, availability and performance, and defining backend standards for style, maintainability, testing, APIs and operational readiness; mentoring associate and intermediate engineers, removing technical blockers and improving delivery practice through code and design reviews; and diagnosing and preventing performance and reliability problems. What the role asks of you beyond code: working across product, frontend, infrastructure, data and security boundaries; making sound architectural trade offs; and communicating complex ideas clearly in an asynchronous environment. The posting is direct that clear written communication and self direction are the pillars of success in a remote first, asynchronous organisation, so writing is a core skill here rather than a bonus. AI expectation: GitLab states that all team members are expected to incorporate AI into their daily workflows, and this role includes experimenting with agentic AI in production engineering workflows. Work model: GitLab is an all remote company. The requisition is listed against Bangalore, India. Good fit if you want senior backend work without relocating. Not a fit if you need an office and in person direction.

Senior Backend Engineer, Platform Integrations | APIs across Salesforce and Zuora, All Remote
Bangalore, India Full-time Not stated in the posting

Experience: no years figure is published for this role. The posting states plainly that it is opening at the Senior Backend Engineer level, so treat that as the signal instead. The day to day: designing, building and maintaining integrations between CustomersDot, Monetization services and enterprise applications such as Salesforce, Workato and Zuora; defining and evolving REST and GraphQL API contracts including versioning and backward compatibility; building observable, fault tolerant integration workflows and tracking error rates, retry success and failed workflow recovery; ensuring data integrity and consistency across integrated financial and subscription systems; reviewing merge requests from other Monetization engineers; and working with Product, Finance, IT, Sales and Support to turn cross system needs into reliable integrations. Example projects listed: API contracts between Monetization services and enterprise applications; event driven integrations using webhooks and message based patterns; resilient synchronisation workflows with retries, idempotency and clear error handling; and reconciliation and data integrity checks across integrated financial and subscription systems. Why the bar is high: the posting notes these integrations move financial and subscription data between systems, so reliability, observability and careful rollout matter more than usual. You would also work alongside the monitoring and anomaly detection side of the team so failures are caught early. Work model: GitLab is an all remote company, and the requisition is listed against Bangalore, India. Good fit if you like integration and API contract work and want it remote. Not a fit if you want greenfield product features.

Staff Backend Engineer, Monitoring and Anomaly Detection | Ruby on Rails Observability, All Remote
Bangalore, India Full-time Not stated in the posting

Experience: no years figure is published. The posting states the role is opening at the Staff Backend Engineer level (grade 8), which is the clearest signal available. Required background named in the posting: professional experience with Ruby on Rails, including building and operating applications such as CustomersDot, and experience in site reliability work. The day to day: designing, building and operating observability across the Monetization stack including metrics, logs and traces using tools such as Prometheus and Grafana; implementing automated detection for billing, data and event anomalies and routing alerts to the responsible feature teams; developing reconciliation and data integrity checks across usage and billing pipelines; defining and tracking service level objectives and indicators, writing runbooks and taking part in incident response; exploring artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques to predict system anomalies and speed up resolution; reviewing merge requests from other Monetization engineers; and working with Product, Finance and Support to turn operational needs into reliable tooling. Greenfield reality: the posting describes the Fulfillment Workflow Monitoring team as new, and says you will help build it from the ground up including its operating rhythm, incident response model and quality bar. That means influence over how things work, and also less existing structure to lean on. Sensitivity note: the posting states that Monetization changes can directly affect revenue and often involve confidential or financial information, so it asks for strong judgment and careful rollout practice. Reporting line: this role reports to the Engineering Manager, Observability, Monitoring and Integrations. Work model: GitLab is all remote; the requisition is listed against Bangalore, India.

Read this before you apply

  1. Two junior titles today mean opposite things, and both are in Pune. Kaseya's Software Engineer I accepts internship experience or relevant project experience in place of a year on the job, which is about as open as an entry level requisition gets here. Druva's Associate Engineer, IT Helpdesk asks for 4 or more years, and states it twice in the same posting. Read the requirement line, never the title.
  2. Okta's Senior Data Analyst looks more junior than it is. The posting mentions 2 or more years of Tableau, but the actual floor further down is 5 or more years in data analytics or business intelligence. If you were about to apply on the 2 year line, that is the number to check first.
  3. Thoughtworks writes its experience requirement in words, not digits. The Senior Developer role asks for "five or more years" of Java, which means it will not show up in most automated experience filters, including ours. We read it by hand.
  4. HighRadius's Technical Account Manager is not titled that in its own body. The requisition opens as Forward Deployed Architect, and buries a real commitment: travel of up to 50 percent to client sites. Worth knowing before you apply.
  5. Office days, shifts and on call, all stated in the postings. HighRadius says five days working from office on its DevOps role. Netradyne runs a 24x7x365 operations centre and asks for flexibility across any shift including Saturday and Sunday, on all three of its support roles. Okta's Staff Full-Stack Engineer is hybrid at 2 to 3 days onsite and requires travel to Bengaluru in the first week. MongoDB's AI Builder role includes a 24/7 on call rotation.
  6. Four roles are remote. All three GitLab backend roles are all remote, since the company is built that way rather than as a concession, and none of them publishes a years figure at all. DoorDash's Data Analyst on the Labs robotics team is listed as Hyderabad preferred or remote.
  7. Entry level is thin today and we are not going to dress it up. Exactly one role on this list genuinely asks for a year or less. We swept 1,826 India postings across 105 boards to find it. The board as a whole carries 47 open roles at one year or less, which is far more than a single day's edition can show, and you can see all of them here: https://www.munotes.in/dailytechjobs?exp=0
  8. Where several roles come from one employer, they are separate teams. HighRadius has four (a technical account manager, cloud security, DevOps and a Java system design seat), GitLab three, Netradyne three (the same support job at L1, L2 and lead), and Okta three.

We read every posting by hand before it goes on this page. The same write-up goes out to the daily email.
