About this role

FlashBlade is Everpure's scale out all flash file and object store, and this is a seed member seat on
a growing product team in that business unit. The work is systems engineering in the older sense:
distributed systems, algorithms, operating systems, the Linux kernel, database internals, hypervisors,
containers, compilers and hardware, with C, C++, Python, Java or Go as the languages. You design and
implement new algorithms for high performance, highly reliable systems, the posting says six nines,
and own innovation end to end from concept through to shipped product. The team is deliberately close
to how customers use data, working with AI workloads, modern backup, Splunk and Elastic log analytics,
Kafka pipelines and Spark. Apply if you want deep storage systems work rather than services on top of
storage.

Who this is for

Requirements. 14+ years of developer level Linux platform experience. Strong programming skills in C,
C++, Python, Java, Go or other languages, with a solid understanding of object oriented programming.
Hands-on development experience in the storage domain and related technologies is listed as preferred
rather than required.

What you would do. Design, collaborate on and implement creative new algorithms and technologies for
high performance, highly reliable systems, which the posting describes as six nines. Own and deliver
innovation end to end, from concept to shipped product. Analyse and solve challenging problems in the
FlashBlade product area.

The team, in its own words. This is described as an opportunity to be one of the seed members of a
growing product team in the FlashBlade business unit, one of the fastest growing at the company.
FlashBlade is a scale out all flash file and object store designed for modern workloads. The team says
it is deeply immersed in how customers work with data: AI, modern backup, log analytics with Splunk
and Elastic, data pipelines with Kafka and cluster computing with Spark. It asks for people who enjoy
distributed systems, algorithms, operating systems, the Linux kernel, database internals, hypervisors,
containers, compilers and hardware, "or at least some of those".

Office reality. Bangalore, in office. Everpure states across its postings that it is primarily an
in-office environment and expects you at the Bangalore office except for PTO, work travel or approved
leave.

Who this is for. A systems engineer with fourteen or more years and real Linux platform depth. This is
one of the highest bars in this edition and it is not padding: the work is algorithm design for
storage systems at six nines reliability. Storage domain experience is preferred but not required, so
strong systems people from adjacent fields (databases, kernels, distributed infrastructure) are in
scope. Everpure runs Member of Technical Staff requisitions from 4 years to 18, so the title carries
no level information at all here.
