Commvault
About this role
This is a customer facing technical seat on Commvault's Managed Services team, which runs day to day operations of the Commvault backup and recovery estate inside customer environments. The work is incident, problem and change management on real production systems, with direct customer interaction, and the posting notes you work with enterprise level customers and dark sites. It is the kind of role a reader specifically asked this board to carry: technical support and systems work rather than software development, but with genuine depth. The experience asked for is 5 to 8 years in technical support or system administration and operations, with a preference for storage, backup or infrastructure backgrounds. Apply if you know backup and recovery well, want to work across many customer environments rather than one, and are comfortable being the person accountable when a restore has to work.
Who this is for
Requirements as published:

- This is operations and support rather than product engineering, and it says so honestly. If that is what you want, it is a strong version of it, with enterprise scale and real ownership.
- Prior Commvault experience is not stated as mandatory, but backup and storage background clearly is the preferred route in.
- Dark sites means air gapped or restricted environments. Expect process discipline and change control to matter as much as technical skill.
