About this role
This is the middleware seat on the same Netradyne edge devices that run the company's fleet safety computer vision. Where the multimedia role owns camera and video pipelines, this one owns the Linux systems layer underneath: middleware components and services, inter process communication through sockets, message queues, shared memory and DBus, system daemons, service orchestration and resource management. You would work across hardware, firmware and application teams, run code reviews and performance tuning, and debug issues that cross from middleware into the lower layers. The requirement is 3 to 6 years of system software development on Linux, with strong C and C++ and a solid grasp of Linux internals covering the process and thread model, scheduling, memory management and IPC. Build system experience with CMake, Make or Yocto is required rather than optional, which tells you how close to the platform this work sits.
