About this role
This is the most junior backend opening GitLab currently has in India, and it is worth knowing that Intermediate is a real level in GitLab's ladder rather than a softened senior title. The work is integration engineering: connecting CustomersDot and GitLab's Monetization services to Salesforce, Workato and Zuora so that buying, provisioning and renewing a subscription works end to end. You would own REST and GraphQL API contracts, including versioning and backward compatibility, and build workflows that fail safely because they are moving financial and subscription data. The stack is Ruby on Rails over PostgreSQL with webhooks and message based streaming. GitLab publishes no years figure, and says it hires this role at both the Software Engineer and Senior Software Engineer levels.
