This Staff Software Development Engineer seat sits in Zscaler's Cyber Security and Data Protection engineering org, and despite the SDE title the emphasis is heavily on test automation and quality engineering at scale. You build the automated test frameworks and internal tooling that validate complex features across web filtering, policy enforcement, next generation firewalls and CASB, and you lead scalability, stress and performance testing for products that protect millions of users. The stack leans Python, automation and networking. It is a hybrid role based in Bangalore. This is a senior individual contributor seat for an engineer who takes quality seriously as an engineering discipline, likes building frameworks rather than running manual test passes, and is comfortable owning the automation that lets a security product ship fast without breaking.
