Site Reliability Engineer 3

PhonePe runs one of the world's largest payment systems, processing over 330 million transactions a day for 600 million registered users, and this Site Reliability Engineer 3 seat is about keeping that infrastructure always up and always available. It is a deep systems and Linux role: strong Linux and Unix administration, real networking knowledge (IP, iptables, IPsec), and hands on work across open source tooling and cloud services. You participate in an on call rotation, work with MySQL (and ideally MariaDB or Percona), and automate with configuration management tooling, scripting in Perl, Python or Golang. The stated bar is 7+ years. Based in Bangalore. Good fit for a senior SRE or systems engineer who is genuinely comfortable at the operating system and network layer, likes the reliability discipline of a very high scale fintech, and wants ownership of production stability rather than feature work.

What the posting asks for:
- 7+ years in Linux and Unix administration, with extensive hands on experience.
