About this role
This is a Software Engineer seat on Airbnb's Integrations and Application Engineering team, part of its internal business technology (BizTech) org. The team owns the integration and automation platforms that let teams across Airbnb connect their systems, and this role focuses on building and maintaining Finance integrations and reports plus the libraries and plugins that power Airbnb's in house platforms. The stack is Java, Python and TypeScript, and there is a real emphasis on applying GenAI: building AI assisted automations and MCP integrations, and using Claude Code to extend what the team can do. You also migrate integrations off Oracle Cloud onto the in house platform. Based in Bangalore. Good fit for a backend leaning engineer with five years who likes building reliable integration systems, enjoys working with modern AI tooling, and does not mind that the domain is internal finance and enterprise systems.
