About this role
MongoDB is the company behind the document database of the same name and its managed cloud platform, Atlas. This role is not on the database itself: MongoDB is launching a new internal engineering team alongside its Internal Engineering department, and you would be an early member building the enterprise grade tools its own staff use every day. The work is designing, building and maintaining software that supports critical internal workflows, writing clean and maintainable code, and collaborating with other teams to decide what gets built. The stack is a modern language such as Python, Go or Rust, with containers, Kubernetes and CI/CD tooling like Drone.io, and full stack work from React or Next.js front ends through FastAPI handlers to database migrations. At 2 to 5 years this is one of the more reachable roles on the board from a well known engineering employer.
Who this is for
What the posting asks for: 2 to 5 years of professional software engineering experience, experience with a modern programming language such as Python, Go or Rust, excellent communication, and comfort with modern infrastructure and delivery systems including containerised applications, Kubernetes and CI/CD tooling such as Drone.io or similar.
