UNDERSTANDING OF ANCIENT INDIAN CULTURE AND HERITAGE, THUS HELPING IN THE
REVIVAL OF BUDDHISM IN INDIA, THROUGH TEXTS AND TRANSLATIONS.
TWO YEARS POST GRADUATE ADVANCE DIPLOMA IN PALI HAS BEEN A SUCCESSFUL
COURSE WHICH HAS PAVED A WAY IN THE SIMPLE RESEARCH OF THE LESSER -KNOWN
TEXTS BY TRANSLATIONS INTO MARATHI LANGUAGE AND ALSO BY COMPARATIVE
STUDY.
THIS COURSE IS SPECIALLY DESIGNED FOR THE GRADUATE STUDENTS WHO ARE UNABLE TO
DEDICATE TIME FOR FULL TIME MA BUT WANT TO LEARN INTENSIVE PALI. STUDENTS WHO
HAVE COMPLETED THEIR MA IN PALI, AND STILL WANT TO CONTINUE PALI STUDIES BUT ARE
UNABLE TO DO SO BECAUSE OF NO FURTHER EXHAUSTIVE STUDY IN THE SUBJECT OTHER

DIFFERENT ASPECTS OF THE STUDY OF THE CULTURE AND HERITAGE IS SUPPORTED THROUGH
THE LITERARY STUDY AND TRANSLATIONS OF PA LI TEXTS IN MARATHI. MAJOR ASPECTS
WHICH ARE STUDIED WORLD OVER TODAY FOR THE STUDY OF CULTURAL HERITAGE ARE THE
RELICS OF THE BUDDHA AND THE LIVING SANGHA THROUGH AGES. THESE SUBJECTS ARE

TRADITIONS.
THE PAPERS IN THE SECOND YEAR FOCUSES ON THE LOST PALI TRADITIONS OF INDIA,

BUDDHISM FROM INDIA, WE NOT ONLY LOST THE TEXTS BUT THE TRADITIONAL LEARNING
METHODS AND THE GRADUAL STUDY OF MIND, THROUGH DIFFERENT PALI TEXTS PRESERVED
IN THE DIFFERENT PARTS OF THE SOUTH -EAST ASIAN COUNTRIES. THE TRANSITIONAL
CHANGES OF THE LANGUAGE FROM THE BUDDHAVACANA TO PALI LANGUAGE OF THE 19TH
CENTURY ALSO GIVES THE INFLUENCE OF OTHER CULTURE ON THE LANGUAGE. THUS PALI
