PREAMBLE: THIS IS WITH REFERENCE TO ONE OF THE SIGNIFICANT RESPONSIBILITIES
OF THE DEPARTMENT OF PALI, UNIVERSITY OF MUMBAI, PERTAINING TO THE DESIGN
AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE CURRICULUM/ SYLLABUS.
THE COMPLEX PROCESS OF DEVELOPMENT OF THE SYLLABUS UNDERTAKEN IS NEED -
BASED, TAKING INTO CONSIDERATION THE FEEDBACK FROM THE STOCK -HOLDERS
THAT ARE THE STUDENTS AND THEIR SOCIAL BACKGROU ND. THE INPUTS FROM THE
EXPERTS OF THE SUBJECT AND ITS HISTORY IN THE VARIOUS OTHER PALI
DEPARTMENTS IS TAKEN INTO ACCOUNT WHILE DESIGNING THE FLEXIBLE YET
PROFESSIONAL INTERNATIONAL STANDARD CURRICULA FOR THE STUDENTS WHICH
EMPHASIZES ON THE ETHICS, MORAL ITY AND CULTURAL IMPORTANCE OF THE
STUDY.
THE RANGE OF PROGRAM OPTIONS AND COURSES IN THE DEPARTMENT OF PALI
REFLECTS THE EMERGING TRENDS IN THE NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL STUDY
OF PALI AS WELL AS THE LOCAL NEEDS, WHILE THE REGULAR REVISION, UPDATE
AND CHA NGES IN THE SYLLABUS AND CURRICULUM SHOWS THE INCLUSION OF THE
FEEDBACK OF THE STUDENTS AS WELL THE CONCERN IN THE PRACTICALITY OF THE
SYLLABUS IN FULFILLING THE CORE VALUES OF PALI LEARNING -THAT IS THE
TEACHINGS OF THE BUDDHA IN THE STUDENTS.
THE DESIGN ING OF CURRICULUM DOES HAVE THE PROCESS, SYSTEM AND
