Preamble and Objectives -
This course is one of the electives offered for MA -II - SEM III. A language is
well-understood through various literary sources available. Keeping the same
thing in mind, the syllabus of this course has been designed. The course
encompasses popular literar y forms of Sanskrit language like Mahakavya,
Khandakavya, Drama, Champu and Prose thereby giving a holistic idea of the
literature to the students. The texts acquaint the student with various ideas and
literary devices prevalent at that time.
The assignmen ts also aim to enable the student to read a particular text
thoroughly and try to appreciate and analyze it.
