Regulations related to National Service Scheme (NSS) Studies
for all UG Programs under the Faculty of Arts, Commerce and
Science
( with effect from Academic Year 2018 -19 )

R ____________ The bona fide student of all UG Programmes in the Faculty of Arts, Science and
Commerce are eligible to opt for National Service Scheme (NSS) as course in place of
Foundation Course in Semester I, II, III & IV.

R ___________ _ Learners opting for NSS in the Semester I and II shall be all owed to change and
option for Foundation Course in the beginning of III and IV Semester for valid reasons endorse
by the principal .

R ____________ Qualification of Teachers : The College is expected to have at least one NSS
Unit under the Government fund ed or Self – Finance and appointed as NSS in – Charge /
Programme Officer or Teacher appointed on Clock hour basis or Contract or Visiting Faculty
having knowledge and at least PG Qualifications in subject or existing faculty or Foundation
Course can be el igible to undertake the work after attending workshop / orientation course
conducted by NSS Cell University of Mumbai / Orientation or Refresher Course conducted by
TORC / ETI.

R ____________ The Following shall be the Syllabi for the National Service Sch eme (NSS)

R ____________ Learners or First Year UG Program are eligible to opt for NSS Studies as a
Course in lieu of Foundation Course .
