MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE BOARD OF STUDIES IN LIFELONG LEARNING AND EXTENSION HELD ON WEDNES DAY, JUNE 29 , 2016, @ 2.00 P.M. AT UNIVERSITY
OF MUMBAI , ROOM NO. 26, FORT, MUMBAI 400 032.
The following members attended the meeting:

The leave of absence was granted to Dr. Mahadev Deshmukh , Shivaji University, Kolhapur .
The Agenda for the meeting was as follows:

To Approve the syllabus of Extension Work & recommend to Academic Council, University of
Mumbai
2. ITEM NO. 2
To organize Orientation Workshop for Extension Work Teachers and Principals of the affiliated colle ges.

Appreciation of Board of Studies members who contributed to prepare syllabus.

Any other item with the permission of Chair.

ITEM NO. 1
To Approve the syllabus of Extension Work & recommend to Academic Council, University
of Mumbai .
Dr. Dilip S. Patil, Professor & Director, DLLE and Chairperson informed the members that the
Department of Lifelong Learning & Extension has been entrusted the responsibility to start the subject
of Extension Work in the colleges affiliated to University of Mumbai for the first year B.A., B.Com, & B.Sc. level. from the academic year 201 6-17 as approved in the Academic Council.
The Director reported the Member s that the Department conducted four meetings of UG and
PG Senior Teachers conducting extension work activities at their colleges and also monitoring these activities on behalf of the Department in the capacity of Honorar y Field Coordinator to discuss the
contents of the syllabus to be framed by the Department for the subject of Extension Work. On the suggestions of various Experts, the contents are designed by the Board of Studies Members considering the various aspects and need of the society. The members appreciated the contents of the
syllabus and it was resolved as under:
